CA 7 Winter Tank Canyon, Catron, Cibola Counties, NM.  The view
down Tank Canyon is into the North Plains and just beyond that the
El Malpais and the Chain of Craters 24 x 66 $950
Limited Edition of 15
Most of these pictures, CA3 through CA7 are of Tank Canyon taken  2005 through 2008.  We have a very
good view off a set of bluffs down Tank Canyon into the North Plain where the headquarters of York Ranch
(200,000 acres) is located.  Beyond that is the El Malpais.  To the West and coming around to the north is
the Chain of Craters, part of the Volcanic fields that dominate southern Cibola County, NM. . In addition to
Tank Canyon, a number of Canyons empty into the North Plains here, including Goat Tank Canyon, Bonine
Canyon, Armijo Canyon, and Homestead Canyon.  Tank (a small part of), Bonine, Armijo, and Homestead
Canyons are in the Cebolla Wilderness, part of the El Malpais National Conservation Area.

Th chain of craters includes these peaks Cerro Brillante, Cerro Chato, Cerro Lobo, and Cerro Negro, all
over 8,000 feet which are visible in the distance and are also part of the El Malpais National Conservation
Wilderness Study Area.  CA4, CA6, and CA7 were  shots taken from bluffs overlooking Tank Canyon at an
elevation of 7700'.  A The national Park Service and BLM administer these areas including a good part of
Tank Canyon.
