Hummingbirds
We've been working on Hummingbirds a large part of July and August.  Getting pictures that will print large requires a lot of
set up.  The best results so far are using a makeshift blind behind an open window and taking macros with fill-in flash.  This
gives us a near full frame picture of a humming bird. Even pictures shot with a 1000mm lense are too small at the closest
focus.  But most of your pictures are either out of focus or background without a bird.  Up close with macros, there is little
depth of field even at small apertures and the birds don't hold still for long except on a perch.
We have mainly two species here:  broad-tails and black-chinned.  We think most of our pictures are broad-tailed.  However,
the only birds readily identified are adult male broad tails and adult male black-chinned.
